Cranbrook Rugby Football Club

Welcome to Cranbrook RFC

Cranbrook Rugby Club has a long history in the town and continues to play a vital role in the community.

The club has developed and maintains strong links with schools and community organisations and is widely recognised as adding significant value to the area.

Outside of hosting rugby festivals, County representative matches and County Finals, Cranbrook Rugby Club opens its doors to other sports like lacrosse, athletics, triathlon and cricket as well as hosting private parties, Comedy evenings and the local Slimmers Club.

Not only do we cater for sport but try to provide a hub for the local community.

CRFC are delighted to welcome Jack and Sophie Skinner from The Ridge Golf Club & Inca Island Adventure Golf as our new main club sponsor for the next 3 seasons.  Jack and Sophie have been long supporters of the club, with their son being one of our mini players, and it is fantastic to have them on board as valued and much appreciated sponsors.

You will have seen the new playing shirt designs for the upcoming 23/24 season, with The Ridge logo on our senior Men, Ladies and Colts shirts, and then the Inca Island Adventure Golf logo on our mini and junior shirts.  I think you will agree that they look brilliant!

The Ridge Golf Club is set in some of the most beautiful countryside Kent has to offer with outstanding views over the Weald.  The par 71 course was designed by Patrick Dawson, architect of The Belfry (home to many Ryder Cups). The superb views over The Weald, and the layout, including 20,000 established trees, gives the course a mature, interesting feel making it popular with golfers.   Inca Island Adventure Golf is 18 holes of fun for the whole family, surrounded by caves, waterfalls, river rapids and even a water- squirting Tiki!

I would encourage all our members to make a visit to The Ridge (Sutton Valence, Maidstone), to enjoy the golf course, adventure golf or of course, the “19th hole” with an excellent choice of drinks and very tasty food available. Visit the website  https://www.theridge.co.uk/ to make a booking or to find out further information”.

CRFC Online Club Membership 2023/24

Please see the links below for a guide to applying for your membership through the RFU’s Game Management System (GMS). I know GMS is far from perfect, but it is a tool with which parents of the Minis and Juniors must access to register their children as players.

Due to GDPR, all members must keep their information up to date. If you cannot remember your password or username, insert the email address that you believe is linked to your account and reset your password. You should now gain access to your account. If you have changed your email address and it is not one linked to your account, then the system will not recognise it. If you are unsure, please contact me.

Please take time to read all the illustrations in these guides and understand how the cap process works for Family memberships. If you need help, please ask, and don’t just plod ahead without reading the guide.

Guide for Club Membership 2023/24

Note: GMS emails often end up in spam boxes, so please remember to check these email boxes.

Last season's members have a one month grace period before their discounted bar card facility is switched off if they haven't renewed their membership. For any new members that require a Bar Card, please email me. Bar cards can be collected from Mandy at the bar usually within a week of applying for them. If you have requested one in the past, then please check with Mandy first before contacting me. There is a surcharge of £5 for lost Bar Cards so please look after them carefully.

CHARITY WALK

Daniel and Jordan are walking 250km (if they don't get lost) from Winchester to Canterbury via Rochester Cathedral starting on the 19th April and hoping to complete within a week.. They are raising money for three different charities:-

Evelina's Childrens Charity
Hospice in the Weald
Cranbrook Rugby Club

Below are the links to the justgiving pages Daniel and Jordan are raising the money for:-

A friend of Dan's had his child treated at Evelina Childrens and in support of him he has chosen this amazing charity.

As some of you may be aware Dan's brother suffers from MS. Due to his condition he receives care from Hospice in the Weald. As a thank you for their help and care they will be supporting them on this walk.

Last but not least Dan is raising money for Cranbrook Rugby Club. At the ripe age of 36 Daniel started rugby for a bet and enjoyed every second. As some of you may be aware the clubhouse is coming to the end of its life. As a thank you to the boys and all the coaches and backroom staff he will be raising money for this great club. If they hit 2k Dan will be getting a tattoo!!!
