For some, a summer break has been very short as an awful lot of work has been undertaken at the club. From rewiring the clubhouse – no more floodlight failures; no more cold showers hopefully – to painting and buying new posts, it has been a busy time.

This close season saw the end of the 3 year cycle of sponsors. So it was an opportunity to take a real fresh look at how we approach the whole issue of sponsorship. We took a very different look at what sponsors can do for us but importantly, what the club can offer local businesses. We organised a very successful sponsors evening which saw the clubhouse packed with local business people. We want to thank again English Wines and Ric and Jackie Waite who generously provided great food and wine for our guests. Together with that event, we invested a lot of time in targeted marketing, business breakfasts etc. that has increased dramatically the number of organisations we are working with.

The best way you can repay the investment that our sponsors have made in us is by using them for your purchases whenever you can. We have more companies still to come in but already we can boast:
