On Wednesday 21st January Cranbrook Rfc has had its first official country sports day . Club supporters accompanied by a team of beaters enjoyed a days shooting captained by Frany Brieley. Steve Hall shot his 1st pheasant along with a few other things!!! Andy Clarke shot as though he does it every day. (Well he does but it is usually at dogs killing his sheep).
The guns enjoyed a beautiful day in the Valley at Upper Hardres Nr Canterbury with the sun shining and the birds flying.
Hip flasks were large and numerous with several breaks needed to be taken to cherish the flavour. The photos verify .
A hearty roast dinner followed in the Hop Pocket at Bossingham where we finished the day off talking about the unluckiest bird that flew over Chris Ditton and some how got shot.
We want to make this an annual event or even perhaps more frequently if demanded, Contact Mark Scott in the first instance to get invited in the future. Frany (Craddock), that soup at lunch was Awesome. Didn't know you could cook as well !!!!
