CRFC Under 11
U11s - It gets better: more players , more fun!
The emphasis throughout is for the boys and girls to enjoy their rugby while at the same time learning the basic skills and gaining an aptitude for the game. This year we have more players on the pitch (13) and new laws to follow as the tactics and skills build towards the full game in the future.
To reflect and understand the Laws of the game plus view the current Club Policies and Codes of Conduct please click on the Club Policies page. There is a wealth of information to help you enjoy your time at Cranbrook RFC whether you are a member or just visiting. Please take the time to view the links there and gain a better understanding of those laws that relate to this age group in particular. Training sessions and games at home will be at the club almost every Sunday morning from 10.00-12.00 (please check fixtures below / latest news / emails).

All players need to register with the RFU.
If your player is not registered with the RFU, they are not covered by insurance and are therefore ineligible to play in any competitive matches. Click to download the RFU forms from the Club website. Complete the form and bring it to the club or email it to me.

Kit
All kids must have a gum shield (moulded so that it fits in their mouth appropriately), a pair of rugby/football boots and trainers (for the early weeks when the ground may be too hard) shorts and shirt (preferably cranbrook) for training. Please note, only the official Cranbrook RFC (maroon, black and white) should be worn at competitive matches and Festivals (unless otherwise stated by your Head Coach).

CRFC is a club run by members for the members so it is essential that parents help too. A rota for all parents to help with duties in the club house will be sent round. Each stint won't take long and everyone needs to do their part.

It is key for the kids enjoyment and understanding of the game to learn at home as well:

1. Every kid should have a ball at home (we use size 4). Practice basic skills like passing and catching with Dad, Mum or sibblings!
2. Watch rugby on TV with your kids (some Dads will like this home work!) as they need to learn the shape and flow of the game and this really helpsAre you a member and not getting the weekly email?
